Paul Rivers Bailey – Never Love Again
Growing up between Queens and Long Island, Paul Rivers Bailey is no stranger to the art of storytelling. Never Love Again is a track about the overall sound of the punch drunk love of life. The fight that we’ve all won and lost and maybe lost one more time. The can’t eat, can’t sleep, how in the world will I ever…..I digress. If you’re here with your eyes on the screen and reading this today, you’ve made it this go’ round. Good for you!
For those of you who have been longing for a straight 15 minutes of radio airtime that isn’t screaming drugs, sex, money or any of the 7 sins at you, try putting this on repeat. I’m not knocking it if that’s your preferred content, but this will surely be a nice break in your rotation. Paul aims to find some of the answers to life’s daunting questions through music. He’d run at the chance to collaborate with Lauryn Hill whose pure and authentic music he admires. (Readers Challenge: Play the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill straight through this week but listen to Paul’s Never Love Again after Ex-Factor).
Paul’s message to aspiring artists: Figure out why it is that you create. Anyone can put words to paper, notes to lines and lyrics to songs, but not everyone can do it from their soul. You hear so much feedback and so many voices, but never lose your own. Know your purpose and be genuine.
The art of storytelling doesn’t stop with Paul’s music. He is also very passionate about writing and scripting films. In the next 5 years, he hopes to expand his fan base and to have scored the soundtracks of many more lives.
