The entire DMV packed the M&T Bank stadium, home of the 2012 World Championship Ravens, in support of JAY Z & Justin Timberlake. An evening with rain in its forecast did not stop the show nor did it detour a crowd of extremely excited fans. JAY and JT began the show together with their classic tunes “Excuse Me Miss” and “Rock Your Body”. The on stage chemistry was persuasive, painting a picture of the two’s camaraderie but also underlining the millions of dollars made between them.
JAY then took the stage without help to ring off his selection of hits, “Crown” from his most recent album Magna Carta Holy Grail and throwback track “Jigga What, Jigga Who” shook the arena setting the tone and bringing the swarm to its feet. An audience of both the black and white communities went bar for bar with Hov the entire show. As anticipated, Timberlake rocked the house and got the ladies going with cuts from his 20/20 Experience that dropped earlier this year. Songs like “Pusher Love Girl” and “Tunnel Vision” had every female in sight singing along and in a daze. JT then began “Until the End of Time” from a sofa and allowed the crowd to end the song as the rain began to fall.
To close out the show, the pair then took the stage for “Suite & Tie” and “Forever Young”, recently dedicated to Trayvon Martin.
